The outside surface of the Dynamic armguard (by Aurora Archery) seems to be made of a type of ballistic nylon fabric which, in my experience with the material, will likely take a lot of punishment. Internal struts provide added protection. I can't identify the inner fabric but it feels like felt (soft and fuzzy synthetic - comfortable to the skin). The use of fabric, as opposed to leather, makes it more comfortable when bending the elbow. Little movable loops on each strap were a nice touch to keep extra materail out of your way.
The armguard is 13.25 inches long, is 3.75 inches wide at the rear, and is abou 2.8 inches wide at the front. That's enough area to cover all the likely impact areas.
The solid design might make it uncomfortable in very warm weather. One full-length armguard that I owned had slits for ventilation but they didn't really make my arm feel any cooler.
